Italian football has a new boss
Roberto Fabriquini was urgently appointed as president of the Italian Football Federation after the earlier this week failed to produce an heir to the left-of-office post Carlo Taveccio. He was Secretary General of the Italian Olympic Committee, but he had to occupy the most important position in the football federation. Italian President Giovanni Malajjo Fabricini will take up his new position for at least six months. The Italian football federation made four attempts to elect a Taviekio deputy, but each of them failed.
