I`ve no doubt just come to terms with it. And I really believe that if I don`t go there [to the top team], it will happen because life, fate doesn`t want me to end up there.
And that something good will follow. Something that will actually bring joy. Yes, for a while you have more, because we all have egos. I have it as a racer, and at that moment I really couldn`t understand what happened.
That being said, I still cannot understand certain decisions made by some people. But at the same time, I understand that this only makes my new challenge more interesting, and the transition to Williams more exciting.
And yes, it was Williams who decided to invest in me. It was this team that supported me from the very beginning, they were the ones who immediately came to me a year ago, and this inspires me. So I said to myself: I want to give these guys what they gave to me. I want to repay them for their trust, for believing in me. So yes, I`m looking forward to moving to Williams, " said Sainz.
