It has become known who could lead the England team if Gareth Southgate leaves.
According to The Telegraph, the list of possible candidates for the post of head coach will include Brendan Rodgers, Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel. It is also possible that Steve Holland, who is currently Southgate`s assistant, will be appointed to this post.
The 52-year-old specialist`s contract runs until Euro 2024. After England`s exit from the 2022 World Cup at the quarter-final stage, Southgate has not yet decided whether he will remain as coach of the national team.
Southgate took charge of England in September 2016. Under his leadership, the team reached the semi-finals at the 2018 World Cup and the finals at Euro 2020.
